Pride Flags (surgery fundraiser)

I’m also selling pride flags to raise some funds for my trips to Thailand. I’m traveling there this summer (2024) to get ALT phalloplasty/lower surgery, as I’m still getting nowhere with the NHS. I’m getting 2 surgeries in the first trip, and then returning the following year for my third and final surgery. Phalloplasty is a complex combination of multiple steps and options tailored to the individual needs, not a one time “fix”, so this fundraiser will be active until 2025.

Phalloplasty for me will be the final and most important step in my transition. I came out as trans and started Testosterone at age 21 in 2017, I then had my top (chest) surgery in 2018. I paid for both of these through a private clinic whilst I was waiting for the NHS, but didn’t manage to get a Hysterectomy on the NHS until 2024. The wait for lower surgery will be much longer, and I’d likely be well into my 30s by time it’s all complete (as there are multiple stages).

I’m very lucky to have been able to access my medical transition so far, and to be able to go to Thailand for the final step. I don’t want to simply ask for donations, but selling these products is a way people can buy their flags for Pride events (or just because they want them in general!) whilst directly supporting a trans person to get surgery. If this goes well I’d love to sell more to help out other trans people in the future.

Progress Pride Flag:

The Progress Pride Flag has the original rainbow stripe design, but also includes a striped arrow that symbolises progress towards inclusivity. The added colours represent people of colour, trans and non binary people, and people living with AIDS.

Trans Pride Flag:

The blue, pink and white Trans Pride Flag represents transgender men, transgender women, and non binary people.

Measurements and details:

The flags are roughly 3ftx5ft, and can be used as a flag, cape, or wall decoration. They are professionally made by a flag manufacturer, with strong double stitching and metal rings in the left corners.
